Our Lady of Guadalupe School

The Academic Junior High Decathlon is a competition for students  in grades 6 to 8. There are ten events. Two are collaborative team efforts - a logic quiz with 20 rigorous thinking problems, and a super quiz with 50 multiple choice questions on five broad academic themes. The remaining eight events test individual knowledge of the Roman Catholic Doctrine, English, Literature, Science, Mathematics, Current Events, Social Studies, and Fine Arts (Art and Music). Awards are given for individual and team performances, and the winning school team from each geographic diocese competes in a a state championship the first Saturday of May each year.

*The sports program is available for 5th, 6th, 7th & 8th grades. It is also offered to 3rd & 4th graders when there are not enough players from the upper grades, but only with parental permission and involvement



Christian Athletic League 

The after school sports program offers it's participants the opportunity to develop appropriate social behaviors by working independently and with others during planned activities under the leadership of responsible coaches. It's primary purpose is to help the students become good and decent Christian citizens in the atmosphere of wholesome competition, and to establish for them the framework for team spirit and fair play. It is open to students in 5th -8th grades. 

The After School Care is open to students K-8th grade. The service is from 3:15pm - 4:15pm. This program is solely for doing homework, to be assisted with homework, to read, or do any work given by the teachers.
